Joe Larucci – Research - Equity Long/Short
Joe has 17 years equity trading and fund-of-funds experience. Joe heads Aksia's long/short equity sector team. Joe received a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine (Mechanical) Engineering from the New York Maritime College and began his career in 1993 at Cowen and Company as an equity trader for a portfolio management group that managed discretionary long only and long/short hedge fund equity portfolios. In January 1998, Joe joined the hedge fund of funds group at Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette Asset Management (DLJAM), which was acquired by Credit Suisse in September 2000. At Credit Suisse Joe was a director and head of the long/short equity sector team that was responsible for over $4 billion in Equity Long/Short allocations in North America, Europe, Asia and the emerging markets.
